The Challenges We Address
The film and media industry has significant representation gaps that limit opportunities for creators of color. We're here to change that reality.
Director Representation
Only 5.2% of film directors across top-grossing films were Black, Latinx, or Asian, despite these communities making up the majority of audiences.
Women of Color
Women of color made up just 1.9% of directors on the top 100 films in 2022, revealing a critical need for pipeline development and support.
Decision-Maker Gap
Over 70% of media decision-makers are white men, while audiences of color are the majority in U.S. box office sales.
Funding Inequity
Less than 10% of industry grants go to creators from marginalized backgrounds, limiting resources for diverse storytelling and career growth.
Early Access
Youth from under-resourced communities rarely access film tools or mentorship before college, perpetuating systemic barriers.
